For grade 11 and 12 students interested in a health care-related career, there is a direct path from high school to full time employment in rural Saskatchewan.

“After tonight flamenco will make us think of Eric Harper,” said Ken Rolheiser of the Canora Arts Council in his introduction of the flamenco guitarist at the Canora Composite School auditorium February 6.

James Betts will be performing at the Sturgis Mini-Miracle 37 scheduled to be hosted by the Sturgis Kinsmen and Kinettes on March 2.

So eager are they to dance, even as the band is setting up, they’re already on the floor, ready to go.

The Preeceville Health Action Plan committee organized a paint night with 103 community and area members registered. The evening was held at the Preeceville Community Legion Hall on February 10.

The Parkland Music Festival committee is busy preparing for the district festival which begins March 26 and takes place in Preeceville and Sturgis throughout that week.

( see Photo Gallery below ) The Preeceville and District Mushers Rendezvous kicked off on February 3 with a talent show at the Preeceville Legion Hall where 15 artists and dancers were featured. Rhonda Cook and Brittnay Halkyard were the emcees.

Cast members held their first organizational meeting and reading of the United Church annual spring play at the Trinity United Church in Preeceville on January 31.

( see photo gallery below ) The main attraction at the annual Preeceville and District Musher Rendezvous held at the Preeceville Skating Arena from February 3, 4 and 5 were dog sled races but many other activities focused on fun were also held.
