Teams from Preeceville, Sturgis, Kamsack and Norquay battled for the opportunity to advance to districts in Yorkton in senior pre-district badminton play on April 19. Preeceville School hosted the event with players in singles and doubles facing off.

The Crossroads Credit Union hosted an annual informational banquet meeting at the Sturgis Community Hall on April 18. The meeting was one of three, with the others being held in Margo on April 19 and in Canora on April 20.

Riverside Golf Course at Kamsack opened for the 2016 season on April 15 in good condition, said Ken Cymbalisty, who began his 25 th year as the manager of the course.

Kamsack school students heard a motivational address last week from a man who had been born without arms and legs. “Chris Koch was amazing. He’s an unbelievable guy,” said a member of the staff.
