On Sat., June 30, Don and Glenda Bell attended the marriage of a cousin, Trevor Smulan and Jessica Lesko at the Eastside United Church in Regina. Trevor is the son of Carole and the late Brian Smulan of Lemberg.

Well, a lot of people were busy after the tornado or plow wind that went through Calder and the surrounding area on June 26, 2012. Many residents had broken branches and a lot of uprooted trees in their yard.

What a year! The Goodeve 4H Beef Club wrapped things up with their Achievement Day in the sun, on July 3rd. The Judge for the day was Lee Stillborn from Balcarres.

Congratulations to Nicole and Dustin Godfrey on the birth of their daughter, Myka Mary Grace Godfrey. Myka was born on May 4, 2012 at 10:04 am at the Regina General Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds 13 oz. A little sister for Deklan.

Calder students and staff wish their grade eight students farewell as these students head off to grade nine at the Yorkton Regional High School this fall. These are the students that are leaving this year: Meagan D., Kaitlyn K.

Congratulations to Clinton Fuchs who scored a hole in one on the eighth hole while golfing at the Kananaskis golf course, Mount Kid, AB on June 5.

Congratulations to Darren & Kristen Dyke on the safe arrival of their son, Bodyn John, on Thurs., June 14. It was nice to have Claire Hicks and Donna Milbrant visit the Busy Bees for coffee last Monday.

Deepest sympathy to the family and friends of late Gladys Wiley who passed away on May 19. Gladys was a resident at the Bentley Retirement Home in Yorkton at the time of her passing. She was a former resident of Bredenbury.
