Greg Ottenbreit, minister responsible for Rural and Remote Health, cut the ribbon Thursday to officially mark the opening of the Canora Health and Wellness Centre.

The Preeceville atoms, novices and midgets kicked off the hockey season with exhibition games. The atoms took to the ice first, taking on Wynyard on November 14. The game was evenly matched with both teams scoring one goal in the first period.
