Yorkton shut out for third straight game

Second straight shut-out loss to Battlefords

After enduring a drought that lasted from 2005 to 2018, the Canora Cougars senior girls basketball team has advanced to the HOOPLA provincial finals for the second year in a row.

A program for youngsters aged 5 to 12 is now underway for 12 weeks at the Victoria School in Kamsack.

The final bonspiel of the curling season concluded in Sturgis with the Matt's Home Hardware bonspiel held from March 20 to 23. There were a total of 17 teams entered with the Perry Pasiechnik rink topping the bonspiel for first place.

Those that remember growing up with classic WWF, WWE and WCW wrestling on TV -- Wrestlemania I, II, II and IV come to mind -- could relive some classic style wrestling from the ‘glory days’ thanks to the CWE.

A split would have been a more reasonable fate

The Canora Skating Club presented its annual carnival with the “lucky theme of Las Vegas” on March 17 at the Canora Civic Centre. About 150 people of all ages were in attendance, said Candace Doogan, one of the organizers.
