A two-person Kamsack team won the men’s division of a two-person team golf tournament held in Canora last week. The Canora Golf and Country Club was the host of a seniors’ (50-plus) golf tournament on August 28.

The birdies have been flocking at disc golf courses across the region this summer. And that is great news for local youth, and the future of the sport.

The Preeceville Panther football program held its annual fall conditioning camp that focused on players performances during the week of August 28 to September 1.

Football. Cheerleading. Band. Fireworks. All of that, and more, can be experienced at this week’s sixth annual Friday Night Lights football game. The game is held on Friday, Sept. 15 at 7:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, September 6, Yorkton’s Inner Cycle Studio celebrated their first birthday. To celebrate, the studio brought all of their bikes to Yorkton’s City Centre Park to offer outdoor rides, merchandise sales and a barbecue.

Although school is just getting started, some sports teams are already well into their season. Sacred Heart High School hosted its annual senior boys’ volleyball tournament on September 8-9.

The Yorkton Terriers wrapped up their preseason on Sunday evening, finishing with a 2-1-2 record.

There are only a few weeks until the Bredenbury Tundra Junior C fall training camp begins.
