On Sunday, June 4, the Yellowhead International Speedway was flooded with cars, drivers and spectators as the 2017 stock car racing season began. The first race of the season saw some returning racers as well as some new faces to the Yorkton track.

The Yorkton Cardinals hosted the second annual student day on Thursday, June 8. More than 700 students filled the bleachers around Jubilee Park to watch as the Cardinals played against the highway 10 rivals, the Melville Millionaires in an 11 a.m.
