The weather added a definite element of added challenge for disc golfers converging on Bredenbury Saturday.

On Saturday, Yorkton United Football Club held its annual community soccer event at the Logan Green soccer fields. The event saw approximately 600 kids take part in fun and friendly games. Mike Jakubiec is the technical director of Yorkton United FC.

The Yellowhead International Speedway is a hot spot in Yorkton for stock car racers from all over the province.

It was a beautiful night with good weather and lots of people and fans for the second annual SADD ball games event on June 2.

The 2017 Special Olympics Saskatchewan Summer Games were held in Moose Jaw from June 16-18. The event saw 320 athletes from 18 communities, who competed in eight summer sports.

The second annual Sun’s Out Guns Out event, held by the Yorkton Wildlife Federation (YWF), took place on Saturday, June 17 at the trap and skeet shoot club.

Tailwinds, a horse farm just outside of Yorkton, was the hosting spot for more than a dozen visiting horses last weekend - most of those were Saskatchewan Clydesdales. The farm’s owner, Twylla Newton, organized a learn-to-drive clinic at Tailwinds.
