The 2015 Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association (SHSAA) soccer season has been a season of ups and downs for the YRHS Lady Raider soccer team.

Both the YRHS Lady Raiders and Sacred Heart Lady Saints put together strong performances at the Sacred Heart Senior Ladies volleyball tournament this past weekend at the Halo Dome.

The Yorkton Regional Raiders boys’ soccer team punched their tickets to the 2015 SHSAA 3A Boys Provincial tournament this past weekend with a 6-2 victory over the Balgonie Greenall Griffins in the Region D final.

Two senior students at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute qualified to advance to the provincial cross-country competition in Saskatoon on Saturday (October 17).

With the volleyball season in full swing, two teams of Spartan junior girls have been formed at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute and to date both have competed in two tournaments.

The Preeceville Junior Panthers football team remained undefeated throughout their regular season. Going into their final match against Porcupine Plain on October 5 in Preeceville, the Panthers were determined to hold the record.

The Preeceville Skating Arena kicked off another season with a free skate open to the public on October 10, 11, 12 and 13.

The Sturgis Elementary School cross-country team and their older counterparts in the Composite High School each had a very successful season with four main meets through the season.

Preeceville School runners ended their cross-country season with a district meet in Yorkton on October 10. Two runners who placed in the top 10, advanced to provincials that were held in Saskatoon on October 17.
