Hosting a home tournament is never an easy thing.

The Sacred Heart Saints senior boys’ basketball team took to the road this past weekend for a six team basketball tournament in Esterhazy, where they managed to finish third overall despite compiling a 1-2 record through three games.

After two weeks of competition the Canada Winter Games has officially closed its doors for the 2015 edition.

For countless years the cities of Yorkton and Melville have been at war with one another verbally, emotionally and even physically.

Twelve Yorkton and area athletes are currently representing Saskatchewan at the 2015 Canada Winter Games (CWG) in Prince George, B.C., this year.

During the Yorkton Terriers home game on Feb. 13, athletes and volunteers from Special Olympics Yorkton were celebrated.
