The Yorkton Peewee AAA Cardinals ended their regular season in the Regina Baseball League this past Sunday with a 4 - 3 win over the visiting Melville Millionaires. The win brings the peewee Cards to an even .500 on the season.

Steve Nash was recently quoted saying that the major motivating factor for him to sign a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers was because playing in LA would allow him to be closer to his kids.

Yorkton played in Canora last Wednesday night to close out the Supers' regular season. Canora belted a home run early on but Yorkton responded with a pair of runs to earn a 2-1 victory at the Al Sapieha Field Wednesday night.

The Parkland Racing Association (PRA) was able to hold their second day of stock car races this season. PRA president Dustin Heddon said it's a sign that the weather (at least on Sundays), has been co-operating with them so far this season.
