The Yorkton Kinsmen Pee Wee Spring Tackle Football league season came to an end Thursday afternoon at Kinsmen Century Field.

The following individuals competed in the Kids of Steel duathlon at the Gallagher Centre May 29. The racing involved kids from Yorkton, Kamsack and Regina. The triathlon was part of a provincial race which several different age groups took part.

For the last several years, the Deer Park Municipal Golf Course has been host to a Texas Scramble tournament set up to help raise money for student scholarships for students attending Parkland College.

Cheerleading does not normally get a whole lot of attention from the press but it did last Monday night, along with five other sports as the Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) marked the end of the high school sports season.

It rained both literally and figuratively for the Junior baseball club in Yorkton last Tuesday night The Alexander's Mens Wear Junior Cardinals did something they had not done in senior league play in a long time. They lost a baseball game.

The football clubhouse at Yorkton's Kinsmen Century Field is one of the 29 facilities in Saskatchewan, and one of hundreds throughout Canada that are hoping for a chance to win $25,000 in the Kraft Celebration Tour.

Wet conditions saw Monday's scheduled game against Weyburn get rained out, but the Yorkton Cardinals still got four Western Major Baseball League games in this week, all on the road, and resulted in losses.

It doesn't get any better then this. If you are a Canucks fan, it could have been. If you are a Bruins follower, it definitely couldn't get better then this.

He's not going to be the man at the mic anymore. The Dick Irvin of the Yorkton Regional High School will be putting away his morning microphone for good in the next week or so.

The crowds came out in masses once again and Tucker Chornomud and pals from B3Xtreme Skateboard Shop in Yorkton were thrilled once again. "Skateboarding is hot right now, " he said during a brief time out to speak with the media.
