Sask Party sweeps back to power

The Saskatchewan Party swept back into power Monday in what can only be termed a landslide victory. The Saskatchewan Party unofficially captured 49 seats, up from 38 in the last term, relegating the New Democrats to only nine seats.

The YRHS team got off to a good start over the holiday weekend. Hosting the southern regional volleyball playdowns, teams were broken down into two pools. Pool 'A' included Moose Jaw Central, Estevan, Balgonie and Moose Jaw Peacock.

Highway named for Canadian Forces

Highway 1 between Moose Jaw and Regina has been named "Saskatchewan's Highway of Heroes" as a permanent tribute to Canadian Forces personnel from Saskatchewan who have lost their lives in service to our country.

Furness pleads guilty

Kyle Braeden Furness, the man charged with the murder of Yorkton convenience store worker Jim Wiebe this summer, pled guilty to second-degree murder and breaking & entering before a Court of Queen's Bench judge on November 4.
