Estevan police handled 38 calls May 9–11, including a fire, assault, overdose and several public intoxication reports.

Patrol officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Lochrie Crescent for a report of an unknown problem.

The ban was previously in effect until conditions improved.

Police say no dangerous goods were spilled and no injuries have been reported. 

A 60-year old victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment. He died from his injuries a short time later.

Police say they later made attempts to stop a stolen vehicle before they allege the male occupant pointed what appeared to be a firearm at the responding officers.

A 24-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were apprehended in connection with the stolen vehicle.
