Submitted by Saskatchewan Lotteries James Lathlin knew his lottery ticket was a winner, but he was content to let it sit in his car for a few days. When he finally realized just how much he had won, the Saskatoon resident couldn’t believe it.

An individual involved in a police chase and collision on Nov. 1 in North Battleford has been denied bail.

The Battlefords AAA Stars split a couple of weekend games in league action. Friday night, the team headed to Credit Union iPlex to face the Swift Current Legionnaires, and won in overtime 4-3.

The Battlefords Sharks were on the road at Duncan McNeill Arena in Wilcox this weekend, where they dropped two games to the Notre Dame Hounds. The team lost 2-1 in action Friday night, and 5-0 on Saturday.

Turtleford RCMP received a report Sunday of numerous minor damages to shed doors and entries to sheds along Coon Avenue, Kopps Kove, at Turtle Lake. Due to it being a mostly seasonal community it is unknown what all has been taken at this time.
