A good portion of Monday night’s council meeting was devoted to snow. Specifically, the topic was snow removal. Director of Utilities Stewart Schafer gave city councillors a primer on how their crews go about clearing the snow on city streets.

The City of North Battleford is seeking to raise its debt limit by $10 million. The current debt limit, set in 2010, is $45 million. On Monday, council voted in favour of increasing the debt limit to $55 million.

Submitted City of North Battleford Community Safety Officers will be performing an enforcement blitz the first week of March. They will be enforcing the bylaw that requires sidewalks to be clear of snow and ice.
