The City of North Battleford is installing storm sewer mains across Territorial Drive near Railway Avenue, resulting in street closures. Beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug.

North Battleford’s 100 th Street rehabilitation project is a few days behind schedule as a result of rain delays earlier in the month, but work continues to progress as planned, says the City.

North Battleford Fire Department and WPD Ambulance responded to a two vehicle collision Saturday shortly after 7 a.m. at the intersection o 109th Street and 9th Avenue in which one person was injured.

Biggar RCMP Detachment is investigating a fatal off road vehicle accident which occurred at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, Aug.15 just south of Highway 14 in the Biggar area. One young adult male, the driver, was deceased on scene.

Two young musicians from the Battlefords who are pursuing degrees at the University of Manitoba will be hosting a local concert this month.

A release issued by the provincial government says Access Prairies Partnership, the selected proponent for the Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford replacement, will be on site this week to begin work needed to prepare for construction.

Elsie Frances Egert (nee Calder) passed away March 21, 2015 at Elk Point, AB. At the age of 76 years.

Mary Louise Nykiforuk, long-time resident of North Battleford, SK died on August 13, 2015 at Stensrud Lodge in Saskatoon.
