"I love derby," chanted everyone at the Battlefords Roller Derby League's practice Monday evening at the Northland Power Curling Centre. "I am part of a team. I am faster, I am stronger, I am crazier than those that don't.

A large group of Battlefords Art Club members worked on interesting projects Tuesday at the Don Ross Centre while the sun actually tried to peek through the fluffy clouds.

A car hit the ditch on the south side of the northbound Batttlefords Bridge on Highway 16 East at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, prompting a response by the North Battleford Fire Department and other emergency personnel.

Peat moss improves soil aeration, increases its ability to hold nutrients and water, and adds organic matter to the soil. It's an ideal amendment for adding to areas intended for lawns, flowerbeds, and vegetable gardens.

The month of March saw a continued downward crime trend in North Battleford, though perhaps not as pronounced as the previous months.

The village of Muenster will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame in the community category Aug. 16 in Battleford. In July of 1906, Muenster had their first ever town picnic.
