The Association of Saskatchewan Realtors in conjunction with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation has honoured local Realtor Alexander (Al) White with a Distinguished Realtor Award.

This year's diocesan Catholic Women's League convention was held in Prince Albert at St. Micheal's Parish. Guest speaker for the morning session was Danica Lorer, who is a professional storyteller, photographer and a freelance writer.

Several people attended the quilt show in Maidstone on the weekend. The show was both Saturday and Sunday. It is always amazing to see the fine work the quilters do.

If you've seen the booths at the Co-op mall, you'll know the local squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets is raising funds with a raffle. If you didn't get your ticket, there is still time, as they have dates booked to set up again.

Radisson Royal Purple held their meeting April 7, with the ladies dining out at the local restaurant prior to the meeting.

The youngest candidate in the North Battleford council byelection race is now the youngest, and newest, member of council.

Lots of wind with warmer temperatures, but not hot, has reduced the snow banks to puddles, but it's not all gone yet. More shingles took flight with the strong winds last week, so more fixing to come.

Well it's not Roy Roger and Dale Evans, but Dean and June Roger, who were married 60 years in January, are celebrating their anniversary April 19. Congratulations.
