There's a new nickname you can call the Battlefords North Stars after their most recent string of games: the Cardiac Kids.

This past week the $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event wrapped up at the Rio in Las Vegas, with the final table of nine individuals competing to see who would take home the first-place grand prize of $8.3 million dollars.

It's that time of year. Santa has confirmed he will be in North Battleford Nov. 23 and has asked the children of the Battlefords to join him for a parade to mark the occasion.
