Neilburg Village Council met Oct. 7 in the boardroom in the RM office. Present were: administrator Janet Black, Mayor Ernie Ducherer and Councillors Greg Bowes, Aaron Gibbons, Suzanne McDuff and Mike Fouhse.

The senior girls' B volleyball team travelled to Unity recently for their final tournament of the season. According to Ms. Chammartin, they competed, performed and represented the school well in all of their matches.

This is a busy time of year for Battlefords Art Club members with all the various events. This past weekend we enjoyed a workshop and are working on pictures of angels for the coming gallery exhibition.

A 17-year-old youth has been sentenced in connection to the Sept.1 shooting incident in the city.

North Battleford Comprehensive High School Vikings journeyed to Melfort last weekend for regional playdowns in the hunt for a provincial berth. The senior girls' Vikings missed provincials by three points.

Nov. 3 - Our deepest sympathy to the Bater and Peters families of the local area and North Battleford, on the sudden recent passing of Arthur Bater. Arthur was born and raised on the Baljennie Penrose farm and attended Baljennie School.

North Saskatchewan River Municipal Health Holdings has implemented a new electronic medical record program and the clinics are working to resume normal scheduled appointments, board members were told at a Sept. 19 meeting.

Ken Arsenault has been re-elected by acclamation as chair of the Living Sky School Division board of education. At its organizational meeting Wednesday of last week, the board also re-elected vice-chair Ronna Pethick by acclamation.
