It's April 30 and still feels like winter. We even got more snow a couple of days ago. The next worry is flooding in many areas. Namely Radisson, Borden and Maidstone are having businesses and homes threatened with so much water.

The Saskatchewan Seniors Fitness Association held their annual meeting at the Maidstone Seniors' Centre April 23. The senior centre members had coffee and muffins ready for early arrivals, some who had driven a fair distance.

The Neilburg Seniors held their monthly games day April 1 at the Friendship Korner. Edith Christensen and Marlene Washenfelder teamed up to win the A side of the shuffleboard tournament. Jackie Goodall and Vonnie Rutherford were the runners-up.

Better turnout for cards

A number of Maidstone Drop In Centre members attended the memorial service for former member Iva Inkster. Iva passed away at the age of 91 and service was held at the Payton gym April 13.

Dear Editor, A big bouquet and thank you to all the staff and doctors of Battlefords Union Hospital. Recently we had an emergency surgery in our family and the staff and doctors at BUH were amazing. We attended the hospital at 9 p.m.
