It was a collaboration of joy.

This weekend, the Battlefords ORCAS Swim Club hosted their first Winter Sprint Classic swim meet at the Co-op Aquatic Centre. It was the club's first official swim meet in the new pool, and first official meet in the Battlefords in several years.

The Battlefords Midget Stars had a chance to claim a playoff spot with a win Wednesday on home ice against the Saskatoon Contacts, but they failed to do that and remain in seventh in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League standings.
