Seniors enjoy Christmas supper, program

The annual Maidstone Drop In Centre catered Christmas supper was held Dec. 9 with over 100 tickets sold, but due to sickness and bad weather, there was a few empty seats.

The Battlefords Midget Stars are 2-0 at the Midget AAA Mac's Tournament in Calgary after beating the Calgary Buffaloes 4-1 Thursday night. The Stars had the 1-0 lead and after the first 20 minutes were tied 1-1.

A surprise baby shower was held for Sherilyn Babineau Dec. 9 in North Battleford. Those in attendance were family and friends. She was surprised as she was told it was going to be a family supper for Christmas.

WEPPLER: Clara Wilhelmina Weppler peacefully passed away on November 7, 2012 one day shy of her 83rd birthday with her daughter by her side. Clara was born November 8, 1929 in the family home in the Landestreau district.

Vehicle stolen

A Buick Century parked overnight Dec. 15 on the 1100 block of 99th Street was stolen. Approximately 13 vehicles were damaged in North Battleford during the night of Dec. 9. Most had their side mirrors broken off.
