Fatal collision near Lloydminster

A 53-year old Lloydminster man is dead following a head-on collision just north of Lloydminster. The collision happened on Highway 17, about two kilometers north of Lloydminster, and involved a northbound pickup truck and a southbound semi.

The Battlefords Bantam AA Barons are near the .500 mark heading into the Christmas break. The Barons played Friday against North East and Sunday against Sask Valley. Friday, the Barons fell 7-1.

We wish Milt McMillan, who is in the Maidstone Hospital a speedy recovery. Coffee at the Pine Island Suites was very much enjoyed. We played bingo for prizes all wrapped up in Christmas ribbons and bows.

The Battlefords Midget Stars made their first Mac's Tournament appearance in 12 years in the international event in Calgary. The Stars first game was against the Greater Vancouver Canadians Wednesday at 10 a.m.
