There were a few small issues dealt with at the Aug. 20 Town Council meeting, but with Mayor Chris Odishaw out of the community, the election on the way and the slower pace of summer politics, there were few major issues on the table.

Bear spray youths going to jail

Two youths who pled guilty to aggravated assault in connection to a bear spray attack on another youth in North Battleford are going to be behind bars. The two were sentenced Tuesday in North Battleford provincial court.

Blaine Lake Senior Centre re-opening was held the evening of Aug. 5, bringing the centennial celebrations to a close. Blaine Lake Senior Centre president Marj Pool welcomed the group of individuals to the new and improved centre.
