With a teamful of freshman, the Lakeland College Rustlers ladies curling team turned in a bronze performance. The Rustlers competed in Camrose, Alta.

Several students from the Students Against Drinking and Driving (SADD) chapter at John Paul II Collegiate were at North Battleford City Hall Wednesday.

Mme Blais' Grade 7 class and Mme Weber's Grade 6/7 class organized a Children Only Christmas Store prior to Christmas at Ecole Monseigneur Blaise Morand. The items sold were new or gently used items that were donated by parents and teachers.

The nearly two hour delay to start the Battleford Beaver Blues, Glaslyn North Stars game didn't effect the home team Wednesday night. Because an earlier scheduled game went to triple overtime, in was close to 10 p.m.

The third place Maidstone Jets have put a bit of a scare in the defending North Saskatchewan River Hockey League champion St. Walburg Eagles.

Flight Corporal Jason Reimer is hoping the second time is a charm. Jason, 15, has qualified to participate in the Cadet National Biathlon Competition for the second time. Biathlon is combination of skiing and shooting.
