Fundraiser draws a crowd

A good crowd made Saturday evening's fundraiser for Pine Island Suites a great success. Among the many items donated for auction by auctioneers from Kramer Auctions and others was the 10,000th birdhouse made by Bruce McFadyen.

Moose Jaw takes two from Midget Stars

One positive for the Battlefords Midget Stars is they are taking less penalties and working towards giving themselves a chance to be in Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League games. The negative part is the Stars are still winless.

Vandals and thieves were active in Battleford and North Battleford late Sept. 9 and in the early morning hours of Sept. 10.
