The Battlefords AAA Sharks tried to kept their games on the weekend close, but returned home without a win after facing the sixth place Melville Prairie Fire. The Sharks faced off with Melville losing 5-2 and 6-1 on the road trip.

Fire on Sweetgrass

A fire that broke out Saturday on Sweetgrass First Nation is under investigation by the RCMP. According to police, the fire started shortly before 4:30 p.m., with the residence already engulfed in flames as police arrived.
