Rollover on Highway 16

A 31-year-old woman was pulled from a burning vehicle early Monday morning on Highway 16, five kilometres west of the Battlefords. The woman was pulled to safety by one of the witnesses before emergency services came on the scene.

Dear Editor I am interested in the latest information to and from city council regarding rating of property taxes comparing North Battleford to like communities. I live in a 972 square foot condo and my property taxes are just over $2,100.

Drug charges laid

Two Lashburn men have been charged after a drug raid in Lashburn June 18. Charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking is Dean Harder. Pernell Harder was also charged with several counts of unsafe storage of firearms.

Season bowling results pinned down

The Neilburg Bowling Association held their awards banquet and annual meeting recently. The wind-up raised more than $2,000 for the organization through dinner tickets, silent auction, bake table, 50/50 draw and selling the leftover meat.
