Those Were The Days is back at the North Battleford Western Development Museum. The two-day look at life in a prairie village at the turn of the last century will be held Aug. 6 and 7 at the WDM, after a three-year absence.

What a weekend -July 8, 9, and 10 - rain, rain and more rain didn't stop music lovers from watching the fantastic performers at the Carlton Trail Jamboree. I know I don't report for Rabbit Lake, but I was there and would like to add my two cents.

This weekend Unity played host to both mosquito and peewee boys baseball provincials. Fifteen boys' baseball teams from around the province descended on Unity for the A Championships July 15, 16 and 17.

On behalf of the BridgeFest 2011 Committee, Battlefords United Way recently announced BATC Community Development Corporation has captured the title sponsorship for this year's event.

Our area was hit by a major storm, July 18. With winds gusting up to 130 kilometres per hour, trees were blown over, power lines went down and homes were hit by falling trees.
