Cross another Battlefords North Stars graduate off the list. Cole Gibson has become the sixth of eight 20-year-old players to commit to a post-secondary school and a hockey program for next season.

Family and friends gathered in Saskatoon at Hope Fellowship Church April 16 for a lunch to celebrate Elaine Milman's 80th birthday. Elaine greeted everyone as they arrived and time was spent visiting.

Spring arrives quickly

When spring comes here, it comes quickly. The past week we have seen the leaves come out on the trees and the grass grow quickly. More wild flowers are blooming, including the beautiful, dainty, purple violets I have growing in my house yard.

Bridge work ties up local traffic

The only wooden timber bridge left on the main grid road had to have the top removed so some of the main girders and beams beneath could be replaced. A nearby beaver dam was also demolished. The bridge work did hold up the traffic for a few hours.
