It was an experience of a lifetime. Kerri Archibald, a teacher at Humboldt Collegiate Institute (HCI), had the opportunity to run the Women and Sport Conference at the University of Saskatchewan on June 8-10.

It's a new venture for the village of Muenster to have a team in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball AA Midget League. The Muenster Red Sox, made up of Grade 10, 11 and 12 boys, is being coached by Garret Korte.

In the JDRF Walk story printed in the June 13 edition of the Humboldt Journal, the amount the walk made was reported incorrectly. The walk actually raised $30,000.

Last year, there was one. This year, there will be 15. Fifteen members of the Governor General's Horse Guard will be paying a visit to Humboldt in late June; not only to the present city, but to the site of the original settlement.

A diverse cross-section of Humboldt's community attended a facility development meeting at the Uniplex on June 6. About 30 people attended the meeting to discuss the future development of Centennial Park.
