Wilfred Lange April 8, 1930 - December 3, 2012 The death of Mr. Wilfred Lange of the Burr district, southwest of Humboldt, SK, occurred at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK, on Monday, December 3, 2012. He was 82 years of age.

It is a great achievement for a local writer. Derek Grant of Humboldt's first book "Cold Fear" was published in October 2012. Grant has been writing since he was a child. "As soon as I learned to write, I was writing stories," said Grant.

It was with much regret that I read the story announcing that Fire Chief Norbert LeBlanc has tendered his resignation. I truly believe it is going to be very difficult to find a replacement that cares as much and is as dedicated as Norbert is.
