There was a degree of uncertainty in the Humboldt Collegiate Institute (HCI) Mohawks camp going into their tilt Friday against Warman.

The Humboldt Broncos traditionally use the games of the pre-season to throw different players out on the ice and see how they perform. And this year was no different from any other.

It's a great honour. Isidore Strueby of Humboldt is one of the six individuals and one team in the community inducted into the Humboldt Sports Hall of Fame. "It was a kind of a shock when the letter came and I learned I was inducted," said Strueby.

It's a sad time for the members of the Zion Lutheran Church in LeRoy. The church will be closing its doors this fall, after 100 years of servicing the area. "We will be having a closing service on October 2 at 2 p.m.

It's harvest time. This year's harvest has been going well, due to warm weather and low moisture, said Lisa Britz, agrologist for Viterra in Humboldt. "So far things here have been going fairly smoothly," said Britz.
