CARROT RIVER — Carrot River residents are getting their last chance to donate to donor’s choice this year— which is all being done without door-to-door canvassing.

UPDATE, 9:15 p.m., Oct. 21: Samara Watts has been found. CARROT RIVER — A 13-year-old Carrot River girl is missing. The Carrot River RCMP said they’ve been searching for Samara “Sammy” Watts since she was reported missing to police the night of Oct.

The Humboldt Guardian Angels is looking for volunteer knitters, crocheters and quilt makers to join their collective to make items for charity.

There are two (2) new cases of COVID-19 in the Humboldt area (the Central East 1 subzone) detected Oct. 21, doubling active cases to four (4) cases. In the Nipawin area (North East 1), there are three (3) new cases, bringing active cases to 21.

EAST CENTRAL — David Holinaty and Jenna Hale are running for the Horizon School Division election in Subdivision 1.

CARROT RIVER VALLEY — Rod McCorriston said that if he is elected as MLA for Carrot River Valley, his focus would include healthcare, education, transportation and building infrastructure using Saskatchewan workers.

CARROT RIVER VALLEY — Fred Bradshaw said that if he is re-elected for Carrot River Valley constituency, he would follow the Saskatchewan Party’s 10-year plan to move the province forward, with a specific focus on businesses and the budget.

HUMBOLDT-WATROUS — Rose Buscholl said if she is elected as MLA for Humboldt-Watrous, her focus would be on job sustainability, funding for mental health, funding for drug rehabilitation, and removing PST on children’s clothes.

CARROT RIVER VALLEY — Glen Leson said that if he is elected as MLA for Carrot River Valley constituency, his focuses would be on healthcare, education and the promotion of business.

HUMBOLDT-WATROUS — Jim Ternier said that if he is elected as MLA for Humboldt-Watrous, his focus would be on supporting the local economy, public transportation and moving away from fossil fuels.
