HUMBOLDT — Parts of Saskatchewan Avenue and 101st Street will be paved as the city takes advantage of provincial infrastructure funding designed to stimulate the economy.

TISDALE — Tisdale swimmers can get out their swimming suits, as the Tisdale RECplex Aquatic Centre has officially opened for the season.

EAST CENTRAL — In the past year, the North East Outreach and Support Services (NEOSS) performed 161 transportations to safety, counseling services and other partnering services.

HUMBOLDT — Council is not moving ahead with a backyard chicken program due to concerns about a lack of popular support, disease and administration costs.

TISDALE — A 37-year-old man who was allegedly threatening to shoot his family in the Tisdale area made his first court appearance.

EAST CENTRAL — Community Futures Sagehill has had to pivot as its clients – new businesses – have been affected by the pandemic.

TISDALE — Tisdale RCMP said they “responded to a complaint of a subject who was on his way to shoot his family members at a residence in the Tisdale Detachment area.” They responded on June 24 at around 1 p.m.

The provincial government unveiled its plans Wednesday to establish an office to co-ordinate nuclear policy and program work within the Climate Change and Adaptation Division of the Ministry of Environment.

LANIGAN — A brand new K-12 school will be built in Lanigan, replacing an elementary and a high school. The province is investing $21 million into the project.

TISDALE — Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) crews are actively cleaning up a derailment south of Tisdale off of Highway 35. A train with nine grain cars derailed at approximately 3:30 p.m on June 23, with cleanup efforts continuing into June 24.
