TISDALE — Jeremy Hancock and Zac Robins have brought experience to the Tisdale Trojans’ blue line this season. Both the 16-year-old Hancock and 17-year-old Robins helped Tisdale win the Telus Cup Western Regional at home last year.

HUMBOLDT — With strong defensive play and solid goaltending, the Humboldt Broncos earned an important 3-0 shutout victory over Nipawin on Saturday night.

It was a surreal Monday evening at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw for Team Saskatchewan. Playing the undefeated Laurie Walker from Alberta, they needed a win to ensure staying in the top four teams of their pool.

Saskatchewan had a great chance to be 3-0 after their Sunday games at the Scotties but lost in the afternoon to Team Canada, Chelsea Carey.

Like most folks I receive many forwarded videos from friends and family on my cell phone. I came across a video that a friend sent and so I hit the play button and listened. The clip was of a doctor giving advice on heart health.

The opening round of the Scotties in Moose Jaw saw Saskatchewan’s Robyn Silvernagle rink defeat Andrea Crawford of New Brunswick 6-4. It was a game where Silvernagle opened with a conservative approach that Crawford willingly followed.

HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Broncos blue line could be described as young and fun this season. Humboldt and Weyburn are the only Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League teams without a 20-year defenceman on their rosters.
