HUMBOLDT — An effort to provide a welcoming environment to all in need is also a way to honour two important volunteers with the Humboldt Soup Kitchen.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Trojans geared up in their jerseys, and took to the streets of Tisdale to help fundraise for the Tisdale United Appeal.

HUMBOLDT — The Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council is opening a free repair café for a day during Waste Reduction Week in Humboldt and Melfort.

HUMBOLDT — Carlton Trail College is asking employers to take a 15-minute survey as part of project to better understand the labour market at a regional level.

EAST CENTRAL — An early snowfall slowed down harvest operations across the province. According to the Sept. 24 to 30 crop report, 47 per cent of the crop is now combined, up from 39 per cent last week.

TISDALE — Tisdale Fields and the Beeland Co-op Sport & Leisure Store held their official grand opening, welcoming new customers into the building. The grand opening took place on Oct. 3, about a month after Fields held their soft opening on Sept. 8.

HUMBOLDT — A date has been set for the grand opening of Horizon School Division’s central office. The event will take place Nov. 15. The education minister is expected to be at the ceremony.

HUMBOLDT — On every hockey team, there are players whose contributions are underrated by outsiders. For the Humboldt Broncos, forward Reid Arnold and defenceman Kade Olsen are two of those players.

Stargazers, rejoice! Saskatchewan residents will have the chance to view two meteor showers this October. However, the first won’t be much of a show. The first of the two showers, the Draconid meteor shower, peaks on Oct. 8. According to Space.

HUMBOLDT — When Marilyn Hay learned the Mohawks needed new jerseys, she decided to pay for them in honour of her son, Tyler Bieber.
