EAST CENTRAL — Using WEEDIt sprayers that only spray when it detects weeds can both save money and reduce impact on the environment.

NOKOMIS — A man who graduated from Nokomis School and became a rock star was honoured by the Horizon School Division. Kenny Shields, the lead singer of Streetheart, was inducted into the division’s wall of fame.

MUENSTER — A chain reaction caused by a truck at the intersection of Highway 5 and Muenster’s College Avenue caused a power pole to fall on a house.

EAST CENTRAL — The Ministry of Agriculture will be expanding its clubroot survey in areas where the disease is known to occur and in areas that were not included in the 2018 clubroot survey.

TISDALE — Bernadette Kennedy never thought she would live another day when she was 50, but as she celebrated her 100th birthday she saw herself proven wrong. Kennedy grew up on a farm at Cut Knife, Sask.
