HUMBOLDT — Teacher by day, and creator of Auroraman, Humboldt’s own superhero, Jeff Burton has been invited as a guest to the 2019 Saskatchewan Entertainment Expo. The writer said he feels honoured to be considered guest-worthy.

HUMBOLDT — A date has been set for a come and go public session discussing a proposal to add a crematorium to the Malinoski and Danyliuk Funeral Home. It will be in Meeting Room 3 at Humboldt Uniplex on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

EAST CENTRAL — Carlton Trail College has appointed three new members to its board of directors. One is from Humboldt, another from the RM of Wolverine and the final one from Wadena.

HUMBOLDT — The Horse's Mouth will be releasing their second album, titled “Horsin’ Around”. The band is made up of Bob Henderson of Watson, Margaret Henderson of Watson, Andy McAnally of Humboldt and David Martinuk of Humboldt.

TISDALE — Parrish & Heimbecker has acquired 10 Louis Dreyfus elevators, including the one in Tisdale.

EAST CENTRAL — Eleven per cent of the crop is now in the bin as of the Aug. 27 to Sept. 2 crop, up from six per cent the previous week. The five-year (2014-18) average is 28 per cent for this time of year.

HUMBOLDT — A local resident is hoping to revitalize a support group for caregivers of those affected by Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
