MUENSTER — Muenster School celebrated its top academic and athletic achievers at an end-of-the-year ceremony.

NIPAWIN — Jim Grandfield is 96 years of age and living in Nipawin, but if you read his enlistment papers from the Second World War, he would now be 98.

HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Collegiate Mohawks football team are planning to host night games that honour past alumni – but they need a way to contact them first.

ANNAHEIM — The people of Annaheim have fundraised more than half of the $123,000 needed to replace the town’s only playground. Nearly $80,000 has been raised since October 2017, said Charlene Choboter, the Annaheim playground committee’s treasurer.

HUMBOLDT — When Grade 2 student Makayla Futoransky visited the emergency room earlier this month, she discovered something was horribly wrong — there were absolutely no toys or games for kids.

LANIGAN — For Lanigan’s newest RCMP officer, it was his father’s law enforcement career in conservation that inspired his own pursuit of a uniform. Cst. Braden Stan was raised in Swift Current, where he grew up hunting and fishing with his father.

NIPAWIN — Fans of the Nipawin Hawks can expect to see a lot of younger faces on the ice in the upcoming season.

QUILL LAKE — The Wadena RCMP are investigating reports that an older green and gray van approached a Quill Lake School student while they were walking to school. The police said the incident happened around 8:30 am on June 19.
