FOAM LAKE — A 65-year-old man from Milestone was killed after his southbound semi-truck was struck by an eastbound train three miles west of Foam Lake.

MIDDLE LAKE — Three Lakes School celebrated an athletic year that saw their team and individual athletes win provincial medals with a banquet. This year, Three Lakes Avengers athletes made a number of achievements.

NIPAWIN — The Town of Nipawin will be buying the Nipawin and District Chamber of Commerce office building for $85,000 plus a $5,000 signing bonus. The decision was made at a special council meeting held on June 14.

FOAM LAKE — There has been a collision between a semi-truck and a train on Highway 16 three miles west of Foam Lake. The Wadena RCMP along with Canadian Pacific Police and Foam Lake Fire Department are at the scene.

MELFORT — For the second straight spring, Melfort product Logan Casavant is a champion. In 2018, he helped the Nipawin Hawks claim their first Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) championship since 1990.
