EAST CENTRAL — The provincial auditor is concerned about the effectiveness of the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s maintenance program after examining Saskatoon-area health facilities.

TISDALE — The #624 Tisdale Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron seen a successful year, with both individual membership achievements and an overall growth of the squadron. For the past year, the numbers of first-year cadets joining has doubled.

TISDALE — For the last decade Solestice ran in the community to allow the youth to run. This year that event almost didn’t happen. This was Scott Brinklow’s first year as an organizer. He said the event was previously Harvey Weber’s baby.

MELFORT — Melfort council has voted to permanently the southern access to the Bluebird Hotel, located where Shadd Drive meets Highway 6.

HUMBOLDT — The provincial government is telling cities it won’t directly share the federal excise tax revenue from the sale of cannabis.

HUMBOLDT — A replacement for the aquatic centre’s air handling unit is going cost more than expected. The city originally budgeted $375,000 for the system, with the system estimated to cost $345,000.

HUMBOLDT — Council has decided not to act on a petition asking for a tax incentive for a downtown grocery store, saying that there’s no business making a proposal for such a development.

MELFORT — The City of Melfort has purchased 72 acres of land in the South Gate neighborhood along Highway 41.

MELFORT — Melfort council has chosen to spend the $100,000 it received from the HumboldtStrong Community Foundation on not one, but three local projects. As part of its disbursement of donations, the HumboldtStrong Community Foundation gave $1.

MIDDLE LAKE — Conexus Credit Union representatives met with Middle Lake and area residence to discuss the closure of the town's branch. The credit union gave the town of Middle Lake 120 days notice prior to the branch’s closure on Oct. 2 this year.
