NIPAWIN — Traffic could be disrupted on the corner of Nipawin Road East and First Avenue East as monitoring wells are decommissioned at the old Turbo gas station site at 100 Nipawin Road East. The work is being done between May 22 and May 24.

LANIGAN — Days before the Western Hockey League bantam draft, Humboldt Broncos bantam AA captain Kylynn Olafson was nervous and questions filled his head. On May 2, those questions were answered for the Lanigan product.

HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Public School is looking for more volunteers to service their school snack program.

CARROT RIVER — A replacement for the Carrot River arena condenser unit will be purchased ahead of schedule.

ZENON PARK — Around 150 bee colonies valued at $60,000 were stolen from a bee yard southeast of Zenon Park. Carrot River RCMP received a complaint about the theft on May 13 at 11 am.

LANIGAN — The Royal Canadian Legion branch of Lanigan is asking for help from the community to replace its aging roof.

DRAKE, LEROY — A series of sign switcheroos, thefts and vandalism has the Humboldt-Langian RCMP asking for the public’s help. On April 23 in Drake, some stop signs, yield signs and parking signs were switched with each other.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Trojans have selected their new coach. The team announced on Facebook that Dennis Kubat will serve in the position for the 2019-20 season. He was an assistant coach last season.

MELFORT — Federated Co-ops Limited will be closing its feed plant in Melfort, resulting in the loss of 10 jobs. Operations will cease Aug. 15.
