EAST CENTRAL — The North East School Division received less money from the province through the provincial budget then they had hoped for. “It will be a challenging 2019-20 budget for the school division.

HUMBOLDT — The quarter-final series will be decided in a game seven. The Estevan Bruins defeated the Humboldt Broncos at the Elgar Petersen Arena 4-1 in game six of the quarter-final series March 24.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt resident Joe Scheiber led a donation effort that resulted in almost half of the Telemiracle donations from the Humboldt region presented by the Humboldt Kinettes. Through Scheiber’s effort, $7,024 was raised.

MELFORT — Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, the driver of a semi-truck who ran a stop sign, which resulted in an accident involving the Humboldt Broncos team bus, has been sentenced to eight years in jail.
