MELFORT — A slow start turned into a strong finish for the Melfort Mustangs. The Mustangs defeated the Estevan Bruins in Game 1 of the semifinals 6-2.

MANITOU BEACH, TISDALE — An African choir will be travelling to the east central region to perform.

MELFORT — An effort to move forward with a $8.5 million upgrade to a water treatment plant that the Melfort area has received a boost from the federal and provincial governments.

HUMBOLDT — A team from the Humboldt Curling Club will represent Saskatchewan on the national stage. Team Gaudreau won the Curling Club Men's Provincial held in Melfort from March 22 to 24.

TISDALE — The Trojans will have a definite local flavour next season. The team has announced the signing of three affiliated players – all hailing from Tisdale – for next season.

HUMBOLDT — After a year of rapid change, the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce is expecting 2019 to be one of stability and growth.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt residents will get the first crack at the seats for the one-year memorial service being held to commemorate the Humboldt Broncos crash.

NIPAWIN — Nipawin continues to deal with unusual and potentially dangerous items in its recycling bins, like dead geese and used toilet paper.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt residents will soon have access to walk-in counselling services. Partners Family Services will start the service in mid-April.

NIPAWIN — Council has made it so no schools within the RM and Town of Nipawin need to pay to access the Pool @ Central Park for the remainder of the school year.
