HUMBOLDT — Broncos players, coaches, staff and billets came together to celebrate the season that was at an awards banquet. The event was held March 30. "You'd love to give everyone an award," said Scott Barney, the team’s head coach.

NIPAWIN — The Town of Nipawin will take over the visitor services, which helps tourists, from the Nipawin and District Chamber of Commerce.

HUMBOLDT — With a swish of his pen, Rob Muench, Humboldt’s mayor, made a declaration to support an annual dance event. April 8 to 14 has been declared Humboldt Dances Week.

MEACHAM — An investigation into drug trafficking resulted in a vehicle being stopped in Meacham, which in turn resulted in warrants that found contraband.

HUMBOLDT — Being head coach of the Humboldt Broncos is no longer an interim role for Scott Barney. He has signed a contract to continue the role for three more seasons.

SASKATCHEWAN — People in Saskatchewan will be paying more for gasoline and heating fuel Monday when the federal government's carbon tax begins in four provinces that refused to impose their own emissions pricing.

MELFORT — The Melfort Mustangs have won another semifinal victory on home ice. In the second game of the semifinals against the Estevan Bruins, the Mustangs won 3-1.

HUMBOLDT — Having be the first called up in the Humboldt Legion’s chase the ace draw, Joyce Szautner was guaranteed to win a share 20 per cent of the evening’s earnings – $1,075. Then she drew the ace of spades, winning the jackpot of $10,069.

TISDALE — The restaurant torn down last week in Tisdale went by many names through the years, and just as many owners. Most recently it belonged to Sean and Alison Levesque and was known as Calista’s, named after their daughter.
