REGINA — Multiple convoys converged on Regina to protest against the federally imposed carbon tax. The convoys came from Estevan, Weyburn, Carnduff, Arcola, Davidson and North Regina on April 4.

NAICAM — Water plant repairs scheduled in Naicam will cause water users to experience extremely low water pressure. The repairs will take place on Monday, April 8 between 5 pm and 10 pm.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt RCMP have found a bunch of stolen tools and want to return them to their rightful owners. The tools were found in a Humboldt home March 28 during a search.

MIDDLE LAKE, PILGER — Humboldt-Lanigan RCMP believe a series of break and enters in Middle Lake and Pilger are all connected.

HUMBOLDT — A set of pallets worth around $1,000 were stolen on the 300 block of Humboldt’s Main Street south of the tracks, between 3rd Avenue and 4th Avenue. The theft took place in an alley between March 29 and April 1.

ARMLEY — The provincial highways ministry is asking motorists to be careful at the intersection of Highways 35 and 335 this weekend.

TISDALE — Thanks to an onslaught of shots, the Tisdale Trojans defeated the Thunder Bay Kings 3-1. The Telus Cup Western Regional game against the Northern Ontario on March 4 saw the Trojans make 41 shots on net, compared to only 15 for the Kings.

EAST CENTRAL — Lake Lenore’s Eric Bollefer said the best part of winning the American Collegiate Hockey Association championship was the first moment when you lift the cup.

MELFORT — The Melfort Mustangs could not overcome the flood of goals that came their way in the first period. With a 4-2 decision, the Estevan Bruins won Game 4 of the semifinals April 3.

NIPAWIN — Gene Rusk has been elected as Nipawin’s newest councillor. According to official results from the Town of Nipawin, Rusk received 139 votes, while his opponent Laurie Kratochvil received 119 votes. There was one spoiled ballot. Only 8.
