NIPAWIN — An effort to upgrade the gravel road between Nipawin and The Pas, Man. to a year-round, maintained primary road is seeing progress. The Gateway Keewatin Corridor Inc.

HUMBOLDT — A 24-year-old Saskatoon woman was charged with assaulting a police officer after being pulled over for erratic driving.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt's Main Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue is closed to traffic. The road was closed starting April 8 at 8 am to allow for water service repairs.

MELFORT — The Melfort Mustangs will be going to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League finals, where they'll face the Battlefords North Stars.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Trojans are the Western Canadian champions. With a 6-5 OT decision, the host team won the Telus Cup Western Regionals against the Thunder Bay Kings at the championship game on April 7.

HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Broncos are on the hunt for an assistant coach. Troy Smith, who joined the team last season for the 2019 portion of its schedule, is departing.

HUMBOLDT — It was a moment that showed the solidarity between those directly affected by the Humboldt Broncos crash and the community.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Trojans are going to the Telus Cup Western Regional finals. The hometown team defeated the Manitoba champions, the Brandon Wheat Kings, 6-1, at their third game of the tournament on April 6.

MELFORT — It was another game with a high-scoring first period – but unlike Game 3, Game 4 of the semifinals went to the Melfort Mustangs.
